Deposits, late returns, damage and non-return

Deposits and payment

The rental total is paid before pickup, by card or by an approved business account. A refundable deposit is held on the card at pickup for rentals of 7 days or less, or collected for longer rentals. It is released within 2 business days of the return inspection. Deposits are per item and listed on the rate card; the deposit on any one order is capped at $500.

Rental period and late returns

The pickup day is day one. Items are due back by 4 pm on the return date. Friday pickup with Monday return bills as one day. Each day past the return date bills at the item's day rate until it is returned. Need longer? Call before the return date and we extend it at the posted rates.

Damage, cleaning and repairs

Normal wear is expected and costs nothing. Repairable damage is billed at our published parts prices plus $45 shop labor: casters, deck boards, straps, handles and wheels are all stocked here. Pads returned wet or soiled are billed $3 per pad for cleaning. Items damaged beyond repair are billed at the retail price shown on the rate card, less nothing, and the item is yours to keep.

Items not returned

Day-rate charges continue after the return date. If an item is not back 7 days after the return date and we have not heard from you, it is treated as sold: you are billed the retail price shown on the rate card plus the rental through that day, the deposit is applied to the balance, and the item is yours. We do not keep charging day rates after that point.

Who can rent and what to bring

Anyone 18 or older with a government photo ID and a card in the same name. Companies: the driver's ID and the company name on the order. Moving companies, facilities and contractors with an approved business account can rent on the account. Tax is added to rentals unless a valid exemption certificate is on file.

Delivery in DFW

Delivery and pickup inside the Dallas-Fort Worth area: $49 inside 15 miles of Mansfield, $89 inside 35 miles, quoted beyond that. $150 rental minimum for delivery, none for pickup. Curbside or dock; we can stage inside a building on a commercial move for a quoted labor charge. Someone 18 or older with ID must sign for the equipment.

Frequently asked

Can I rent one dolly, or is there a minimum?

One dolly is fine for pickup at the shop. Delivery inside DFW has a $150 minimum. Most of what we rent goes out 10 to 100 at a time to moving crews and offices, and the same rates apply either way.

Should I rent or buy a dolly?

An 18" x 30" oak dolly is $79 to own and $10 a day to rent, so a rental makes sense for a job under a week or for a crew that needs 25 extra dollies for one move. If you will use it more than eight days a year, buy it. Every rental order shows the purchase price next to the rental so you can decide at the counter.

How fast can I pick up?

Requests confirmed before noon can usually be picked up the same business day at 6800 Exchange Drive, Mansfield, TX 76063, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Large orders may need a day to stage.

Do you deliver?

Yes, inside the Dallas-Fort Worth area. $49 inside 15 miles of Mansfield, $89 inside 35 miles, quoted beyond, $150 rental minimum. We quote delivery with the availability confirmation.

What if I need it longer?

Call before the return date and we extend it at the posted day, week or month rate. Extensions without a call bill at the day rate.

Can my moving company rent on account?

Yes. Approved business accounts rent against the account with net terms, no deposit hold, and a monthly statement.
