Frequently asked questions

Which dolly size do I need?

18" x 30" is the standard movers dolly and handles refrigerators, dressers, washers, and stacked boxes. Go to 18" x 36" for sofas, mattresses, and long appliances, 18" x 40" for cabinets, doors, and crated freight. The 20" x 36" heavy-duty dolly is for safes, machinery, and palletized loads up to 2,240 lb.

What do the wheel sizes change?

Load rating and rolling effort. 3" casters carry 720 lb, 3.5" carry 900 to 1,000 lb, 4" carry 960 to 1,000 lb, and 5" carry 1,000 lb. Bigger wheels roll easier over expansion joints, thresholds, and rough concrete. For moving trucks and tight residential doorways, 3.5" is the standard pick.

H-Frame or solid deck?

H-Frame is lighter, stacks, and lets you grip the load from underneath. Solid deck supports small or fragile items that would fall through an open frame. Solid deck with anti-slip strips is the same deck with conveyor-belt rubber bonded on top.
